The work of Transcollines’ new board commenced yesterday in an atmosphere of excitement. In a unanimous decision, the latter renewed the mandate entrusted to Mrs. Caryl Green to assume the position of President of the organization. Mayor of the municipality of Chelsea since 2009, Mrs. Green has assumed Transcollines’ chairmanship since 2014. Earning the confidence of the communites has also resulted in her recent accession to the post of warden of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais. Ms. Green’s work is characterized by the exercise of unifying leadership and a great concern for the sustainable development of local communities. These values have manifested themselves in various organizations such as the Union des Municipalités du Québec (UMQ), Saint Paul University, Heritage College, the Conseil Régional de l’Environnement et du Développement Durable de l’Outaouais, the CLD des Collines, the Table de développement social des Collines-de-l’Outaouais as well as others.
Transcollines also welcomes three (3) new administrators, Mrs. Jocelyne Lapierre, delegate of the Municipality of Cantley, and Mr. Francis Beausoleil and Mr. Claude Bergeron, respectively delegates of the municipalities of La Pêche and Val-des-Monts. To this team are added five (5) additional members, including Mr. Rolland Brisebois, representative of the paratransit users, and Ms. Émilie Chazelas, delegate of the MRC Pontiac. Other representatives of the community will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
For this new mandate, the work of the Board of Directors will be marked by the pursuit of the objectives for continuous improvements of the passenger transportation service as well as the debut of major projects such as the development of Transcollines’ Strategic Planning 2018 -2022.
