PRESS RELEASE: La P\u00eache, December 17, 2024<\/em> \u2013 A new on-demand transportation service is now available in the Municipality of Pontiac!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to a new agreement with the team at Taxi Loyal, Transcollines On-Demand (TOD) is expanding! This flexible schedule and route service complements the existing fixed-route and on-demand transportation services already available in other sectors of the MRC des Collines-de-l\u2019Outaouais (Chelsea, Cantley, La P\u00eache, Val-des-Monts) to serve new customers who previously did not have access to the current network.<\/p>\n

A Personalized Public Transit Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Transcollines app offers routes and virtual stops based on the user\u2019s starting and destination points.<\/p>\n

A Public Transit Service by Reservation<\/strong><\/p>\n

This service operates with reservations. Users can book one or more trips from 2 hours up to 30 days in advance.<\/p>\n

A Flexible Public Transit Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vehicle\u2019s route is not fixed and adapts to the needs of the user and other passengers who may have reserved trips in the same direction.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A Schedule to Kick-Start the Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

To ensure smooth operation and a proper launch, Transcollines On-Demand will be available on the territory of the Municipality of Pontiac according to the following schedule:
\nMonday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM<\/strong> (for stops within the municipality and transfer points in the Aylmer and Hull sectors of Gatineau).<\/p>\n

An Affordable Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

The on-demand service will be offered at the same rates as regular public transit, namely $5 per trip<\/strong>. Users can also use a Transcollines pass<\/em> to take advantage of the service. See the full fare schedule here: Transcollines.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The development of this service in several sectors such as Quyon, Luskville, and Breckenridge<\/strong> enhances transportation coverage across the Hills. It is important to note that the pick-up or drop-off point for the desired trip must be located in the designated zones on the map to access the service.<\/p>\n
