What is Rural Public Transport?
Rural public transport services are offered in addition to regular public transit routes in the event that standard services cannot meet user needs. Transcollines can provide different transportation solutions to meet demonstrated needs and according to resource availability, such as making use of remaining seats in other modes of transport or calling on volunteer drivers that are willing to drive individuals.
In order to provide dispatching services that propose the best solution to meet your needs, transit requests must be made at no later than noon on the working day preceding the service.
Who Is Eligible, and For Which Reasons?
Rural public transit service is available for all residents of the RCM des Collines-de-l’Outaouais, without restriction concerning user condition or the reasons for the trip. However, in the event that resources are limited, dispatching services may be obligated to prioritize requests in order to respond to basic needs. In this way, requests from individuals with no alternative means of transportation and in need of service for health reasons will be prioritized.
This service is provided by Transcollines for the territory of the seven (7) municipalities of the RCM of Les Collines-de-l’Outaouais: Cantley, Chelsea, L’Ange-Gardien, La Pêche, Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette, Pontiac and Val-des-Monts.
