2023-2024 Service

An optimized fixed line service is in effect since May 15th., 2023. The less used 922, 924 (evening), 933, 934, 941, 943 and 994 lines were withdrawn and are replaced by on-demand service. The popular 925 line now has a second AM and PM passage.

Services offered on weekends and Holidays

On weekends, route 924 operate according to the weekend schedule. All other lines are not in service. We invite users to use the On demand service.

On public holidays, fixed-route are not in service. We invite users to use the On demand service.

Public holidays are: New Year’s Day • Good Friday • Easter Monday • National Patriots Day • Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day • Canada Day • Labour Day • Thanksgiving • Christmas.

Pass validation in Transcollines vehicles

To validate your pass, present it to the driver along with your proof of payment when you board a Transcollines vehicle. Please note that the driver has the authority to refuse boarding if the passenger cannot present a valid ticket and is unable to pay with cash.

Service types

Intra

Provides access to Transcollines services located within the administrative boundaries of one MRC.

Regular

Provides access to the territory of one MRC and one neighbouring MRC with no access to STO or OC Transpo services.

Inter

Provides access to the entire public transit network operated by Transcollines from the MRC Pontiac to Gatineau city and vice-versa, without having access to STO or OC Transpo services.

With this pass, the user will be able to travel on 3 different territories, i.e. the MRC Pontiac, the MRC Collines and the territory of Gatineau or the other way around.

Combined

Provides access to the entire Transcollines public transit network operated by Transcollines as well as the STO and OC Transpo systems.

Two types of Combined passes are available:

Combined Collines for any trip to or from the MRC des Collines including access to Transcollines, STO and OC Transpo services.
Combined Pontiac is for any trip to or from the Pontiac MRC, including access to Transcollines, STO and OC Transpo services.

User categories

Basic : Regular user from 6 to 64 years old with no access to the student category.

Student : The user must be a student and under 21 years of age on September 1st of the year the card is issued. Proof of age and proof of registration will be required when purchasing a smart card. Please note that the student status must be renewed every September; therefore, a new student smart card must be purchased each year.

Seniors : The user must be 65 years or older and provide us with proof of age.

Types of passes

Monthly pass : Gives you access to an unlimited number of trips during a one-month period. To purchase a monthly pass, you must visit one of our service locations.

One-Way Passage : Provides access to a single passage, one-way from embarking to disembarking. Passage fees are payable in cash only when boarding.

Examples of Intra trips:

  1. A trip from La Pêche to Chelsea or the other way around (travel within the MRC des Collines)
  2. A trip from Fort-Coulonge to Shawville or the other way around (travel within the MRC Pontiac)

Examples for Regular trips:

  1. A trip from La Pêche to Gatineau or the other way around (travel from the MRC des Collines + an adjoining area)
  2. A trip from Fort-Coulonge to Quyon or the other way around (travel from MRC Pontiac + MRC des Collines)

Example for Inter trips :

  1. A trip from Bryson to Cégep Gabrielle-Roy in Gatineau or the other way around (travel from the MRC Pontiac + MRC des Collines + Gatineau Territory)

Example for Combined Collines trips :

  1. A trip from La Pêche to Place du Portage in Gatineau or the other way around (trip from the MRC des Collines + Gatineau territory with STO or OC Transpo)

Example for Combined Pontiac trips:

  1. A trip from Shawville to the Promenades de l’Outaouais in Gatineau or  the other way around (trip from MRC Pontiac + MRC des Collines + Gatineau territory with STO or OC Transpo)

Vehicles

Transcollines service is provided by a fleet of nine (9) vehicles with different features designed to meet diverse needs and the reality of the territory. The entire fleet will offer WI-FI Internet access as well as bike racks to facilitate multimodal travel.

In order to ensure continuous service, the fleet is backed by two (2) additional reserved vehicles.

SAF-T-LINER C2

The SAF-T-LINER C2 is the ideal bus for suburban trips. Equipped with air suspension, leather captain’s seats and overhead luggage racks it offers exemplary comfort to users.

Minibus semi-coach

Number in service: 4
Seating capacity: 24

Better adapted to the rural and suburban reality of the Collines-de-l’Outaouais territory, these vehicles provide better service in a context of low population density. This flexibility is a key element in providing better territorial coverage.

Minibus

The minibus type vehicles are used in the outlying areas of the Collines-de-l’Outaouais territory. They offer the amenities of the semi-coach minibus in a smaller format.
