Courtesy STOPS

When possible, we invite you to use the predetermined Transcollines stops (you can find them on the interactive maps of our website). It is also possible to request a courtesy stop on the territory of the MRC des Collines (Cantley, Chelsea, La Pêche, Perkins, Wakefield, etc.). You simply need to signal the bus driver by waving your hand at him. Please make sure you are in a safe space and that you are asking him to stop in a safe zone. Note that the driver can decide at any time whether or not to stop for safety reasons.

IMPORTANT : No courtesy stops are authorized on Gatineau’s territory.

In summary, to request a courtesy stop, you must:

  • be on the MRC des Collines or the MRC Pontiac territories;
  • be in a safe place that will allow the bus to safely stop.

Safety alert

Careful!! Transcollines’ buses are not yellow buses and cannot stop oncoming traffic like school buses do. It is important for your safety and that of motorists to wait for the bus on the side of the street where the bus stop is located. Also, when getting out the bus, you must look on both sides of the street and wait for the way to be clear before crossing. Have a safe return!
